This 200 ft long suspension bridge was fabricated out of galvanized steel using 1 1/8” diameter main cables. The far side of the bridge was inaccessible, so an initial skyline was rigged to move drilling equipment and anchor rods. A helicopter was used to install the two far side towers, with the first bridge cable then being pulled across on the skyline. Following the installation of the initial cable, the remaining cables were then pulled across the span using the first cable. The bridge took approximately 10 days to erect.
