Project Description:

The Stonecutters Bridge is part of Route 9 between Tsing Yi and Cheung Sha Wan.  The steel superstructure, 1018 m long known as “Main Span” between the Towers is flanked by concrete superstructure known as “East Back Span” and “West Back Span,” both 289 m long. Maeda-Hitachi-Yokogawa-Hsin Chong Joint Venture (JV) was awarded the contract for the construction of the Stonecutters Bridge.

The JV nominated Maunsell Consultants Asia Ltd. (MCAL) as their design consultant for the false work design. We acted as a sub-consultant to MCAL and developed the concept and conducted the detail design of the falsework.
