Project Description:
The $350 million composite cable-stayed bridge has three spans with a main span of 482 m (1583 ft.), side spans of 196 m (642 ft.) and two transition spans of 49 m (160 ft.) each. It will be the longest of its kind in Northern America when completed in 2010. This is the first Design/Build bridge project ever undertaken in Louisiana. Dr. Schueller, Principal at Infinity provided the final design of the concrete towers of the new Mississippi Bridge near St. Francisville in a joint venture team headed by Flatiron Contractors Inc. The services were provided during employment with Buckland & Taylor Ltd.
